The Kombumerri Cultural Experience

Kombumerri Cultural Experience offers immersive, authentic, and deeply respectful opportunities to walk alongside the Traditional Custodians of the Gold Coast region—the Kombumerri people of the Bundjalung Nation.

Rooted in thousands of years of connection to land, water, and sky, our experiences invite individuals, schools, workplaces, and communities to engage with living culture through yarning circles, bush tours, seasonal knowledge, art, language, and ceremony.

Whether on-Country at the Guanaba Indigenous Protected Area or brought to your space, each experience is guided by Elders and Cultural Educators who share their stories, knowledge, and truth with warmth, integrity, and spirit.

This is not just cultural education—it is a journey of connection, respect, and reconciliation. Join us in preserving and respecting the rich heritage of the Kombumerri people.

Our Land

Our experiences are rooted in the sacred lands of the Kombumerri people, who have cared for the coastal and hinterland regions of what is now known as the Gold Coast for tens of thousands of years. From the saltwater of the Pacific Ocean to the freshwater creeks and dense bush of Guanaba Indigenous Protected Area, this land holds deep spiritual, cultural, and ecological significance. It carries the stories of our Ancestors, the songs of our totems, and the teachings of our Elders.

When you walk with us on Country, you are not just stepping onto land—you are entering a living cultural landscape that continues to breathe, speak, and guide us. We honour this unceded Country through everything we do, and we invite you to walk with care, listen deeply, and feel the presence of those who still walk here with us.
